SPANISH FOOD, FESTIVALS AND MUSEUMS

SPANISH TYPICAL FOOD
•In Galicia and the Cantabrian coast: Galician octopus, the beans, mountain stew and the best and most varied seafood.
•In the Pais Vasco: the eels in the pot, the tunny with tomato, the cod to pilpil and the squid in its ink.
•In Navarra, La Rioja and Aragon: potato stew (a la riojana), lamb in chilindrón or trout (a la navarra)and roast lamb.
•In Cataluña: aubergine, snails style Mastressa or Gormanta and chicken with shrimp from Palamós.
•In the Meseta: beans from the Farm, gazpacho manchego, the stew madrileño or tripe and Iberian pork products.
•In Valencia and Murcia: paella, fideuá the zarangollo and vegetable menestra.
•In Andalucia: rabo de toro, tuna mechado and salmorejo.
•In the islands: stuffed squid (a la mallorquina), potatoes wrinkled and mojo picon.

SPANISH FESTIVALS

The most known worldwide about traditions folkloric
spanish are Flemish and Bulls.
•In April keep the April Fair, in Seville.
•The Saint Week, althoug in Andalucia is very soundly, is celebrated in all Spain.
•"Las Fallas de San Jose" in Valencia, held in March, and is the scene of the most extraordinary fireworks.
•In Buñol, a town near Valencia every year on the last Wednesday of August celebrates the Tomatina, the biggest tomato battle in the world.
•In San Sebastian during the month of February is celebrated Tamburrada.
•The most typical of Madrid festivals are the "San Isidro", in May.
•The carnival is popular in many parts of the country, being well known in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, for his beautiful and Cadiz.
